More About University of Chichester
The University of Chichester is a public university founded in 2005 and situated in West Sussex, England. There are campuses at the surrounding seaside town of Bognor Regis, the city of Chichester, and an associate school for commercial music on the Isle of Wight.
There are 14 departments at the University of Chichester, including areas of expertise in the humanities, sports, musical theatre, and education. Its history dates back to the nineteenth century, when Bishop Otter College was founded in 1839.
Major expansion-driven building projects have been underway on both campuses since 2013 thanks to financing from the National Lottery and other sources. The Cathedrals Group includes the University of Chichester.
Chichester University began a plan of expansions at both academic sites in 2015 after securing funding from the government and lottery commission totaling about £8 million. This plan involved demolishing a number of smaller collegiate buildings that were no longer functional and building new facilities for education, administration, and sports.
The multi-million dollar, purpose-built Academic Block, which has lecture and seminar rooms, a brand-new Students’ Union store, and a dance studio with sprung floors, was inaugurated in January 2017.
